I'm getting old
So I had to go to the doctor on Tuesday because my left knee was causing me a lot of pain for no apparent reason that I could think of at least. So I went to get it checked out just to make sure it wasn't anything serious. Well it turned out being more than what I thought it was, but still not anything too serious. Apparently I have bursitis in my left hip and knee. I have had problems with the hip for a long time...probably around the last 4 years or so but the last year it has gotten much worse, but I never thought too much about it. Anyway, the doctor said that the fluid sacks around the joints in my hip and knee are inflamed, so for the next couple weeks I have to take a prescription anti-inflammatory to see if that helps, but if it doesn't then I may have to have a cortisone injection directly in my hip which would not be fun at all. She also said I may need some kind of physical therapy as well. So I'm crossing my fingers that the medication will take care of the problem and I won't have any more problems with it. So yea, I feel like I'm 21 with the leg of a 70 year old or something.

If you two are old then I'm really old! And I have to deal with being in class with people right out of high school every day. By the way,in school our main focus before Christmas is knee and hip. Coincidence?! :-)
Well, I'm going to call the doctor tomorrow to make an appointment for next week to have her look at my leg again. The medication isn't doing anything for me so I'm afraid I have a very long needle in my future. :(
Well I guess that makes me ancient. I'm feeling for you, though, Em. I went to the doctor today and came away with 3 prescriptions for back spasms. I feel pretty old not having mobility due to pain. I hope they find some physical therapy or other alternatives so you don't have to do the long needles. I love you!!
